What Happens During Fire Extinguishing and Blanket Testing?

It takes concerted effort to get all safety systems in place within your premises. Our team follows a dedicated process to make testing and tagging seamless and hassle-free as possible.

Here’s an overview of what our friendly technicians will do at your location.

Fire Extinguisher Testing

We at Asset Test and Tag will inspect all your fire extinguishers and fire blankets for any use or damage. This way you can be assured that your fire extinguishers will do the job they are intended for in case of an emergency.

We have the knowledge in place to recommend the most appropriate fire extinguishers and fire blankets for the risk factors we can see in your area.

Even if a fire extinguisher has not been used, all cylinders require pressure testing every 5 years. If used since the last test they need to be refilled or replaced.

During the inspection, we ensure that the extinguisher or fire blanket is in serviceable condition for it to pass the safety check.

Fire Extinguisher Tagging

Before applying service tags to fire extinguishers and fire blankets, we make sure that it checks out all items in our list. All parts of the fire extinguisher or fire blanket should be in excellent condition for it to pass the safety check.

Fire extinguisher and fire blanket testing is recorded  on the metal tag attached to the unit.
